Moreover, when asked to identify the gifts and memorials that helped them most in their time of grief, mourners singled out flowers (and plants) and sympathy cards as the most meaningful. The gift of flowers shows respect for the deceased and loving support for the family, especially when one cannot attend the funeral in person.”

A behavioral research study conducted at Harvard reveals flowers feed compassion and chase away anxiety and worries. Previous behavioral research by Rutgers University also found that the presence of flowers triggers happy emotions, heightens feelings of life satisfaction and affects social behavior in a positive manner far beyond what is normally believed.”

RECYCLE VASES

This time of year, people are furiously cleaning out their closets, cupboards, basements, garages and storage area, in an effort to minimize and shrink their possessions and gain more space.

Many will find vase and containers too good to throw away but alas …. just too much to keep. Don’t agonize…. RECYCLE!!!

When our customers pay with a credit card the numbers are not stored on our in store server. Any time a staff member views an order only the last 4 numbers of the card are visible. When a returning customer is asked if they want to use a credit card that is on file only the last 4 numbers are visible to central square florist employees.

We absolutely love the poinsettia you sent the Wheaton crew! This year, the larger than life poinsettia was placed into a white basket tied together with a beautiful gold bow. I know our office was thrilled to receive it and people gather ’round it to talk–happy talk (much like the water cooler days). You have no idea what a nice lift it was to all of Mary Lyon Hall.

Compliments keep filtering back to ESPECIALLY YOURS FLORIST, about how wonderful The Beck Wedding, at The Canoe Club, on Friday August 7, 2010 was. They are saying the brides hand held bouquet of all miniature white Calla Lillie’s was exquisite! The attendants carried hand held bouquets of “posy” miniature Calla Lillie’s, that complemented the bridal bouquet.

Stacy Merola, of the Canoe Club told me she thought “ the wedding party was elegant and romantic”.
